DIY Fall Midi Dress

Hello Gems! We are half way through September and I can't let the month get away with out sharing my Sapphire Birthday makes. September is my birthday month and Im celebrating all month long with makes inspired by my birthstone, the Sapphire gem!

And now that it's Fall and the weather is cooling down I get to share with you some of the many styles and trends that are inspiring me for the Fall season. Midi dresses and Renaissance inspired pieces still tempt my pallette. However, as the season changes you will see it with more sophisticated and modern touches. This midi dress is a hack of Simplicity pattern 8131 tie-neck blouse with long sleeves and button cuff. An oldie but goodie! I cut the top mid way and added gathered length to the waist and ruffles to the hem of the skirt to create this beautiful bellowy midi!

The fabric is a viscose challis. It's super drapey with a beautiful bold Sapphire floral print on black. A great Fall floral! I paired it with a deep red velvet box bag from Zara to add richness and depth to this look and I paired it with kitten heel booties.

Until Next time!

Marcia
