Fall Capsule Wardrobe| Wrap Dress Butterick Pattern 6676

Hi Gems! Fall is knocking and I have completed my first Fall Essential wardrobe piece...The Iconic Wrap Dress! Now if you follow me on Instagram you know that I will be doing this Fall Wardrobe Capsule Series for the next 5 weeks, featuring 2-3 pieces each week. My list of items to complete are denim jeans, trench jacket, knit T's, sweaters, cardigan, skirts, joggers, trousers, blouse, dress, blazer and a bonus jumper. There will be about 13 pieces...roughly!

This series is not just for sewers! I will be covering tips on style asthetic, fit and shape, color palettes and fabric choses. All of which can be used as tools in purchasing ready made pieces and creating your own pieces.

I decided to start with the Wrap Dress because what is a womens wardrobe with out it! It literally flatters everybody type, comes in a variety of styles and lengths, and there are no buttons or zippers. Its the easiest piece to add to your wardrobe.

I could absolutely live in this dress! I chose to use the Butterick Pattern 6676 because it had simple lines and this asymmetrical hem is very flattering on a tall fame. I didnt have to make any adjustments to this pattern only the usual size grading. It came out absolutely perfect!

I chose a challis like fabric, its a light weight woven in a gorgeous leopard print. I believe I want 10 more dresses just like it...just saying! Animal print is like a neutral in my closet so I believe this dress will be very versatile as part of my cohesive Fall wardrobe! Can't wait to put it to the style test!

Thats all for now! Don't forget to check out my progress on Instagrm and prepare for our next essential wardrobe piece!

Until next time!
